About Night to Shine

The Meridian School is a community that values and demonstrates what it means to live within an inclusive culture of philanthropy. For this reason, we are excited to announce that we will remove the auction portion of the evening. Staff leadership - with support from our Board of Trustees - made the decision to act on our values of belonging.

Meridian’s Night to Shine will be an opportunity to socialize as a parent community, build lasting connections, and have fun - with no fundraising at the event.

Pre-Event Support

Pre-event support will be critical to ensure there is no night-of fundraising. To help us accomplish this, we ask that you:

Purchase Tickets: The RSVP deadline was on Friday, February 11. Please contact Deisi Fernandez at dfernandez@meridianschool.edu if you have any questions.

Support via Underwriting: This is an opportunity to support the event to help offset the cost of a product or services so more of our families support throughout the year goes direcrly to our program! Please visit the tab to support through underwriting.

Event Details

What can I expect at the event?
Expect a party! This night will be different from prior evenings without the auction as the focus, but one thing that will remain the same is that it will provide parents with time to have fun and connect.
  • Instead of a seated, full-course dinner, we will provide heavy hors d'œuvres and drinks.
  • DJ Darek from KEXP will keep the venue lively with music and a dance floor.
  • This is a parents-only event, which means our staff get the night off.
What do I wear? Is this a fancy event?
There is certainly no pressure to dress up for this event. However, we find that many enjoy a night on the town and most guest opt for cocktail attire, which is a balance between formal and causal, elegant and comfortable. Please dress however is most comfortable for you- the most important part is that our community is together and having fun!

Is there parking nearby?
There is no parking structure or lot specificaully for SoDo Park. We will send out an email 48 hours in advance with a parking map attached. The map will include highlighted areas near the venue and stree parking. All parking is city managed and not affiliated with SoDo Park. As a reminder, please make sure no valuables or items are visible from your vehicles.

We also recommend using a rideshare or carpooling for this event.
